چکیده
• Fifteen composite PVC encased concrete wall specimens were tested at UTS Tech Lab. For flexural testing, three-point bending test on a three-metre span was chosen. Using BarChip 48 leads to 43.5% strength improvement and 25% stiffness enhancement. walls exhibit 2.4 % more capacity than conventional reinforced walls. without rebars are suitable for sway-prevented structures. An Experimental Investigation on Mechanical Behavior of Macro Synthetic Fiber Reinforced Concrete
Abstract Concrete is an indisputable material for the construction of various types of structures in the modern advancement of civil infrastructures. Concrete is strong in compression but weak in tension and shear. To eliminate those problems, the introduction of fiber was brought in as an alternative to developing concrete in view of enhancing its tensile and shears strength as well as improvi...

Advancements in technology enhances not only human comforts but also damages the environment. Use of metals as containers has become popular and safe now, especially to carry the liquids. Inspite of the inherent advantages and disadvantages existent in its disposal. Today the construction industry is in need of finding cost effective materials for increasing the strength of concrete structures....
متن کاملBehaviour of fibre reinforced concrete slabs
This paper presents a comparison of the properties of concrete slabs when two types of fibres are added. One specimen had no fibres and acted as a control specimen. The remaining four specimens had steel and polypropylene fibres added in the volumetric ratio of 0.5% and 1.0%. The dimensions of the slab specimens were 820×820×80 mm and were supported by four rollers at their edges. A displacemen...
متن کاملExperimental Investigations on The Flexural Strength of PET Reinforced Concrete
Due to the rapid industrialization taking place globally, the problems generated are acute shortage of construction material and increasing in productivity of wastes. The production and consumption of plastic and the rate at which solid plastic waste (SPW) are created have increased considerably. Plastics constitute 12.3% of total waste produced most of which is from discarded water bottles. Th...
